Can’t find anything on the website that represents who you are? No problem! Decor 2 Ur Door offers an option to design your own bedding.

Home Decor: Liv-Chic

Today, I stumbled across an amazing home decor website called Liv-Chic. From the second I saw their website, I was inspired. Very few websites & companies can inspire me in such a way but when they do, I never have to question whether to write about them or not. I will start by saying that the furniture Liv-Chic offers on their site is probably not on the typical college student’s budget. I do love discounts & finding great deals, but for unique & fashionable furniture like this, you really won’t find much better. Redecorating? Check out Liv-Chic for unique furniture selection & decoration inspiration.

Home Decor: Decor 2 Ur Door FSU Bedding

Earlier this year, I featured an amazing site which carried creative and fun dorm room bedding & accessories. Decor 2 Ur Door now offers bedding specifically designed for Florida State seminoles. What I love about this collegiate bedding is that it doesn’t scream FSU yet would tie in perfectly with a roommate who swears by decorating the room in complete garnet & gold or just showing your school spirit.

For all of you non-seminoles, this same bedding is available in other colors upon request. They also offer a variety of different collections including sorority bedding!

Head on over to Decor 2 Ur Door today to purchase the FSU bedding set.

Home Decor: Decor 2 Ur Door

When moving into college for the first time, bedding was among my least favorite thing to shop for. Why? I felt like there weren’t many great options unless you wanted a solid color or black & white. Recently I discovered Decor 2 Ur Door and wished I had known about this site when I was a freshman.

The owner of Decor 2 Ur Door, Robin McDonald, strives to offer creative product lines that will make for an inviting dorm room. With two daughters of her own, she is designing with the wants and needs of teenagers in mind. On her site, you can find a bedding that is appropriate for most every girl including an option to create your own custom bedding.

In addition to selling bedding, Decor 2 Ur Door offers adorable wall art and accessories. You can find most everything you will need for your first dorm or apartment on this site. Everything from laundry bags to trash cans, from lap desks to linen throws. Decor 2 Ur Door also offers sorority bedding and accessories.

Some of my favorite Decor 2 Ur Door accessories indude the Houndstooth Coordinated Blanket, Monogram Wall Art, Photo Pillows and the Zebra Lap Desk.

If you are currently looking for bedding and accessories for college or simply want to update your current bedroom, look no further than Decor 2 Ur Door.

Home Decor: Furnish Your Home For Less

2 093I just recently moved into an unfurnished apartment. Most college kids (and some parents) cringe at the thought of signing an unfurnished apartment because they think it will cost them a lot of money. If you take the time and do it right, you might find that signing with an unfurnished apartment might actually save you money in the long run.

STEP ONE: Start Early. The earlier you start, the more time you have to search for the best deals. You can really take the time to think about the stuff you want and need and how much people usually ask for such items.

STEP TWO: Shop Smart. I had no furniture to begin with but I ended up being able to furnish my apartment for around $1500. Check sites like Craigslist. You can find fantastic deals there. I got a year old leather couch for $300 and it is the comfiest thing in the world. I absolutely love it. You can also try your local Goodwill or Salvation Army store. I found a bistro table for the kitchen at Goodwill for only $75. Also go to stores like T.J. Maxx, Ross and Marshalls to find furniture and decorations and discounted prices. T.J. Maxx has a Homegoods store where you can find anything and everything that you will need for your house. Other stores to try are Target, Ikea and Walmart and don’t forget to check garage sales!

STEP THREE: Stay Organized. Keep track of everything you have bought. When you are shopping for home furnishings, it sometimes easy to forget what you have already bought especially when it comes to kitchen appliances. Its nice to always have a list to refer back to so you don’t end up buying stuff that you don’t need.

Home Decor: Koko Company Pillows

kokopillowsLooking for the perfect pillows for your home? Look no further than Koko Company Pillows. I instantly fell in love with these pillows. They are so unique, you really won’t find anything else like them. I also like that you can easily get three or four pillows that use matching fabrics yet at the same time have their own unique look and design to them. AllModern.comhas a great selection of Koko Company Pillows. When I was browsing through their decor pillows, nearly every pillow I stopped at was a Koko Company Pillow. These pillows are definitely pretty pricey, around $75-$80 but if you are willing to invest that kind of money in a pillow, I would definitely recommend seeing what they have to offer.
