Beauty Products: Clarisonic Mia

Last month, Clarisonic sent me a Clarisonic Mia to try out. After using the Mia for a few weeks, I can officially say I am OBSESSED with it.

The Clarisonic Mia is a cordless skin cleansing system . I love how light & portable this device is. The Mia is rechargeable & takes only 60 seconds to make my skin clean, smooth & healthy. With just one click of the button, you can improve your skin tone and reduce the appearance of pores. You can also remove 6X more makeup & 2X more dirt & oil.

I was warned that some users needed an adjustment period in order to get used to the deep cleansing system but I honestly saw results the next day. Right after I was done cleansing, my face instantly felt super smooth & soft. It never caused my face to break out either. After a few more weeks of use, I am still so impressed by how my skin feels each time I use it. I would definitely recommend anyone to go out & pick this product up for yourself. It not only makes my skin look & feel better but it also makes washing my face even easier – what more could you possibly want?

Beauty Products: Best of 2010

BEST LIP COLOR: Revlon Just Bitten Lip Stain + Balm for $8.99

Personally, I tend to stick with lip glosses & stay away from lip sticks because they leave my lips feeling dry. This lip stain is the best of both worlds. Long-lasting lip color, inexpensive, & attached balm to keep your lips moisturized? Yes please!

BEST LIP GLOSS: Urban Decay Lip Junkie for $19

If after trying the Revlon Just Bitten Lip Stain, you decide that you are definitely just a gloss girl but are dying for more color, look no further than Urban Decay’s Lip Junkie. Beautiful color, long lasting shine & a minty fresh flavor.

BEST EYE SHADOW: Urban Decay Eyeshadow for $18

I am addicted to Urban Decay’s eye shadow. They have matte colors for every day wear, shimmery colors for highly pigmented intensity & glittery colors for those special¬†occasions. Buy any of their amazing eye shadow palettes to try a variety of colors & save money!

BEST EYE SHADOW PRIMER: Too Faced Shadow Insurance for $18

Although I do love Urban Decay’s eyeshadow primer as well, I find myself constantly coming back to Too Faced’s Shadow Insurance. For the same price & end result, I prefer it’s simple application. Just squeeze the primer out of the tube & onto your finger to apply versus Urban Decay’s brush. Both are great products – it’s just my personal preference.

BEST LIQUID EYELINER: MAC Superslick Liquid Eyeliner for $17.50

I was honestly scared to try liquid eyeliner at first but now I am addicted. MAC’s liquid eyeliner brush goes on so finely that application is easy, even for a beginner. Eyeliner lasts all day & is perfect for a fun night out!

BEST EYE LINER: Sephora Collection Nano Eyeliner for $5

I’ve tried plenty of other eyeliners but you just can’t beat the price. The color goes on smoothly & even though the eye pencil is much smaller than most, it lasts me a lot longer than other eyeliners.

BEST MASCARA: L’oreal Double Extend Beauty Tubes Mascara for $8.99

I LOVE this mascara. The first time I applied it, it instantly looked like I had fake eyelashes on. The beauty tubes technology makes it easy to remove the product at night.

BEST NAIL POLISH: Ulta Nail Polish for $5 (or cheaper with Ulta deals!)

A lot of people I know are addicted to Essie but you just can’t beat the deals that Ulta has. Their own brand of nail polish is fantastic! Smooth to apply, variety of colors & inexpensive! If you have an Ulta store near you, you should make the switch to Ulta nail polish.

BEST BRONZER: NARS Laguna Bronzer for $32

My favorite bronzer – hand down! I’ve had this product since high school & I still love the color. For blush, try NARS Orgasm.

BEST SELF TANNER: L’oreal Sublime Bronze Lotion $8.48

Scared to try a self tanner? You HAVE to try this product. It’s inexpensive, nearly impossible to leave streaks, tinted & it doesn’t smell bad. Make sure to buy the lotion or the spray. I have heard horrible things about the gel & haven’t tried the towelettes yet. I prefer the lotion but again, personal preference.

Beauty Products: MAC Alice + Olivia

Being a huge fan of both MAC and Alice + Olivia, I was ecstatic when I found out that they were teaming up to launch a new collection. Set to release in stores on July 8th, the MAC Alice + Olivia collection will feature eye-popping nail lacquers, color-saturated loose pigment powders and sparkly lip gloss. Colors range from hot pink, yellow, teal, purple & more – all with a hint of sparkle & shimmer.

I am dying to get my hands on MAC Alice + Olivia Dazzleglass Creme in “If It’s Pink…” – absolutely perfect for summer!

Beauty: 24/7 Makeup by Urban Decay

This holiday season, I fell in love with Urban Decay.

It first started with Urban Decay’s 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils. Seriously, the best eyeliners I have ever used. I used to use Sephora’s eyeliner. They were inexpensive and went on smoothly. Recently, I wanted to try a liquid eyeliner for a more intense color and longer lasting, but had difficulty applying it correctly. Urban Decay’s 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils gave me both what I wanted (intense color, long lasting) and what I needed (smooth line, easy to apply). I currently use the eye pencils in Zero (black) and Bourbon (brown) and love them both. Seriously, the back of the box says it all!

“Finally, a fantasy you can indulge in… imagine cushiony, creamy eye pencils that glide on soft, yet deliver powerful, long-lasting, waterproof color. The feel, the intensity and the 24/7 wear is pencil paradise found!”

I am curious to see what other great colors they have. The 24/7 eye pencils separately are $17 but are definitely worth it for a great eyeliner that lasts all day and night! You can also buy sets of eye pencils for cheaper.

Continuing on with the 24/7 theme, their eyeshadow primer is an excellent buy as well. In an earlier post, I mentioned Too Faced’s Shadow Insurance. Both products are great to have. I have Urban Decay’s Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Sin which doubles as eyeshadow and primer. You can apply it with either your finger or the wand. I found that the wand was much easier to apply then I had anticipated. The end result is the same as with Too Faced’s Shadow Insurance — long lasting eyeshadow wear. You can purchase Urban Decay’s Eyeshadow Primer Potion for $17.

If you have not tried Urban Decay yet, please do. You won’t regret it. And with their “Love It or Leave It” policy, you really have nothing to lose.

Beauty Products: Barbie Smudge Pots

stilabarbieI am dying to try this new product by Stila cosmetics.

Stila’s smudge pots are fantastic! They can be used as either shadow or liner and they stay on all day. I used to use a dark smudge pot as eyeliner when I had to dance on stage. The color stayed all day and I never felt the need to reapply.

The Barbie Loves Stila smudge pots come in three different colors: Cobalt Clutch, Purple Pumps and Little Black Dress. I think all of these colors look fabulous and they all have a hint of shimmer in them.

You can order these Barbie Loves Stila Smudge Pots at for $20.

Also, if you order before September 5th, you can get free shipping with any Barbie Loves Stila purchase by using the code: BARBIE.
